Angles is a collective term referring to the Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven and IC.

The Ascendant is the zodiac sign rising on the Eastern horizon. In most house systems, it is the cusp of the 1st House in the chart.

The Descendant is the zodiac sign setting on the Western horizon. In most house systems, it is the cusp of the 7th House in the chart.

The Imum Coeli (most often called the IC for short) is the zodiac sign at the lowest point in the sky. In most house systems, it is the cusp of the 4th House in the chart.

The Lunar Nodes are where the Moon's path around the Earth intersects the apparent path of the Sun through the zodiac.

The Mean Lunar Nodes are the Lunar Nodes but calculated as an average rather than taking the slight fluctuation of those points into account.

The Midheaven is the zodiac sign at the highest point in the sky. In most house systems, it is also the cusp of the 10th House in the chart.

The North Node is one of the Lunar Nodes, where the Moon passes north of the ecliptic. It represents your place of growth in life and maybe your destiny.

The Part of Fortune is a point calculated using the positions of the Sun, Moon and Ascendant. It is usually interpreted as a beneficial point in the chart.

Planetary Nodes are like the Lunar Nodes, except that they mark where the path of the planets cross the ecliptic, rather than the Moon.

Points are components of a chart that may be hypothetical or derived from mathematical or geographical points. Examples include the Angles, Part of Fortune, Lunar Nodes, etc.

The South Node is one of the Lunar Nodes, where the Moon passes south of the ecliptic. It represents the area of life you need to expand beyond or let go of.

The True Lunar Nodes are the Lunar Nodes but calculated with the slight fluctuation of those points taken into account, as opposed to averaging their position.

Some astrologers prefer to use the True Lunar Nodes, other prefer the Mean Lunar Nodes. What's the difference?
