The Centaurs are a classification of minor celestial bodies in our solar system, named after the mythological centaurs. Chiron is probably the best known of the astronomical centaurs and the one most often used by astrologers.

Chiron is a minor planet discovered in 1977. Astrologically, it's associated with woundedness, "the wound that never heals," "the Wounded Healer," maverick behaviour, and balancing the physical with the spiritual.

The planet Earth isn't usually used in astrology charts except in heliocentric astrology.

Jupiter is the planetary ruler of Sagittarius and Pisces (traditional). It symbolizes wisdom, understanding, philosophy, higher learning, luck, faith and hope.

The planet Mars rules Aries and Scorpio (traditional). It symbolizes willpower, drive, aggression, forcefulness, energy, taking action, anger, sex and confrontation.

Mercury is the planetary ruler of Gemini and Virgo. Mercury symbolizes the mind, intellect, ideas, thoughts, information, and communication of all kinds.

Although not an actual planet, the Moon is often called a planet for convenience. It represents our feelings, intuition, needs, nurturing, family, ancestry, home and the past.

Neptune is the planetary ruler of Pisces (modern rulership only). Neptune symbolizes dreams, compassion, surrender, spirituality, alcohol/drugs, deception and Universal Oneness.

Planets refer to the celestial bodies in our solar system. We track their positions through the zodiac signs and degrees and interpret the meaning of their movements, cycles and geometric relationships (aspects).

Pluto is used in modern astrology as the modern ruler of Scorpio. It is associated with intensity, transformation, death, rebirth and obsession.

Saturn is the planetary ruler of Capricorn and Aquarius (traditional). Saturn symbolizes structure, limits, responsibility, accountability, rules, expectations, authority, goals and the status quo.

The Sun is the centre of our solar system. Astrologically it is the planetary ruler of Leo. It represents the Self, our identity, our sense of individuality. The Sun shows our vitality, creative centre and the core of our conscious self.

The Lights refers to the Sun and Moon, since they are the brightest lights in the sky.

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are Transpersonal Planets because they embody energies that are more on a "soul" level, rather than an ego level.

Uranus is a planetary ruler of Aquarius (modern rulership only). Uranus symbolizes rebellion, chaos, the unusual or unconventional or unexpected, humanitarianism, liberation, awakening.

Venus rules Taurus and Libra. Venus symbolizes love, interaction, partnerships, social connections, money, wealth, resources and pleasure.
